Been a while...

Its been a while since I've dedicated myself to the things I love. I created this blog so that I could collect every single handmade flower I found on the web and share them with the world.....

.....Then of course life got in the way and separated me for a time from my creative spirit and although I feel her stirring again deep within my soul, I need inspiration, and mamma mia, I don't think I will be disappointed.

So lets kick off the new start and see where it leads....so here is the first little lovely, a magnificent paper flower by The Little Hut

Make your Own Flower Collage

Flower collages are a fun and creative way to use bits and pieces from your craft box, a way to experiment with new art techniques such as gesso and acrylics, as a way to collate your favourite flower photos from your own collection or from magazines or from walks in the woods or in the garden. They can be crafty activities for the young, art projects for adults or as a simple 'lets mess around and see what I come up with' for those young at heart. Here are some ways to create your own and give you some ideas.

Flickr Pool Favourite - Patchwork Pottery

I love going through the Handmade Flower Creations Flickr Group I never know what I will find but I will always be amazed. This time I found a very talented and inspirational crafter in the shape and form of Patchwork Pottery. Laurraine the creator and now full time quilter and pattern designer just oozes style and grace in her work, which include quilts, handbags, tea-cup holders, coasters, potholders, ornaments and very unique 3D teapots and teacups all of which can be found in her Etsy store.
